Wiggle Giggle Learn Giveaway!
Posted on 16. Sep, 2008 by Trish in Giveaways & Reviews

I came across this company on a few other sites and I was instantly impressed. They offer a learning curriculum to help your child meet and exceed their milestones by only taking 15 minutes a day with your child. The things they recommend are fun too, so it’s more like a game for your kids.
I know I always wanted to help my daughter develop a love of learning as much as I could. Besides reading to her, I didn’t know what else I could do. That is what makes the learning plans from Wiggle Giggle Learn so wonderful. They have it all planned out for you! No research or work on your part. It’s all there for you. Their plans have been developed by a National Board Certified Early Education Teacher, used to working with kids. Here is how they describe their products:
Wiggle Giggle Learn offers parents of children birth to age five weekly learning activity plans developed using the latest brain-research. Our learning plans include seven activities a week (age-appropriate to the child’s month of age), the goal each activity is developing, tips and expectations for the parent and the materials needed for each activity. We also offer additional resources to be used with the learning plans: nursery rhyme and finger play posters, family field trip cards, vocabulary word cards and positive behavior charts with reward tickets. Parents can purchase our products online at www.wigglegigglelearn.com
Our mission is to advance the intellectual and social abilities of all children by empowering parents with the knowledge and tools necessary for teaching their children to love to learn from birth… and to work in our communities to promote learning as we seek to improve education.
They have 3 different CD packages to choose from, or you can purchase items “a la’ carte.” To see these packages, go here. If you would like to see sample plans and view actual PDFs from their plans for different ages, please visit their site here.
They sent me a sample CD for my daughter’s age range, and it has been great to look through. It seemed slightly advanced for her, but I think she is slightly behind her age group. Looking through the weekly activities did give me an idea of things I can do with her now, and I have really concentrated on repeating words to her, and taking time to point out different things. She really didn’t say more than Momma and Dadda, and those being more babbling than actual words. She has repeated about 3 or 4 other words since I have been doing this, and has used Momma and Dadda for when she wants something. It’s a start, and I am super happy about it. I can’t wait to delve in to these weekly plans a little more. We already have nursery rhymes that she listens to on a CD, so I can’t wait to print off some of the flashcards to go along with the songs. That way she will have a visual to go with it.

I learned that there are some great kid websites out there. The many they listed seemed like great learning tools. Thanks for introducing me to this great product!

46 sounds to the English language is something I never really thought about. My son early on in grade school had a lisp and the speech teacher was wonderful.

I learned that you can help your child learn how to write numbers by “drawing” them in the air with your fingers. This will really help my son a lot.

With 46 different speech sounds, no wonder our language is so difficult to learn.
