Let’s Work Together for BlogHer ‘09
Posted on 04. Mar, 2009 by Trish in Uncategorized

This summer there is a huge blogging conference called BlogHer where over 1200 bloggers will be attending! I have bought my ticket and am looking forward to being there.
A little bit about me:
I started this blog back in August and have grown so much. Besides writing here, I am the arts and craft writer for Polliwogged, and a contributor on Playdate Picks. I have also recently been chosen to work with Dyson on a review panel, and am part of Walmart’s Beyond 11 group. Also, I have just been invited to represent MomDot at the Hallmark Mom-e-vent this April. In addition, I am a review writer for The Family Review Network and Parent Reviewers. In my spare time I make and sell nursing covers and legwarmers at an affordable price.
I have fallen in love with blogging and I have worked long and hard to get where I am today. When I first started I didn’t know a thing about html, and now I am helping others learn how to work with it. I designed my own blog, and even created the cartoon image in my header. Once I put my mind to something, I always figure it out! I love the connections I have made with other bloggers and the companies I have worked with and I hope to keep creating those relationships.
Back to BlogHer...
Will you be there? This is a great marketing opportunity for companies to spread the word about their products to those 1200 bloggers. Everyone there is WILLING and WANTING to learn about new companies. Where else can you find such a huge receptive audience?
“Why should I work with bloggers?” you might be asking. There are several reasons that bloggers are the new way to go in marketing.
- People research new products on the Internet. Gone are the days of looking at ads in the newspaper or magazines.
- Moms do over 80% of the shopping in a household. Most of these women rely on recommendations from other moms. They get these recommendations from blogs!
- For the cost of a product a blogger will write about your company and their post will be online for as long as the blog is up. It’s much cheaper to advertise with a blog than traditional advertising methods and lasts much longer.
- The more links you have to your site the higher up search engines will place you. Since most people don’t go past the second page on a search engine, you need to be preferably on the first page in order to be seen. Bloggers can help you get there by writing about your company.
- If you want to read more about how blogs can benefit companies, you can read these articles: http://www.momdot.com/wake-up-pr-print-media-is-dead/ and http://www.momdot.com/blogs-and-etsywhere-etsy-is-going-wrong/
So what does that have to do with BlogHer?
- BlogHer is the place to go to connect with as many bloggers as you can. There will be 1200 people in attendance who want to learn about new companies.
What does this have to do with me?
I want to be your official representative at BlogHer. I want to help you spread the word about your company. I am looking for about 4-5 companies to sponsor me with a $200 sponsorship to help pay for the airfare, the hotel costs, and other costs associated with the conference. In return, I can offer you:
A.) Advertising on my site for the rest of 2009
B.) I will hand out any business cards, fliers, or any swag you want me to pass on to as many people as I can.
C.) If you have a t-shirt or other article of clothing with your logo on it, I will wear it to the conference. Keep in mind that this is only a 2 day conference so I won’t be able to wear 4 different t-shirts at once!![]()
D.) I will blog about your company before/during/ or after the event
E.) Have another idea about something I can do for you? I’m open to hearing it!
Why should you sponsor me?
- It’s cheaper than going yourself. I’m only asking for $200 from 4-5 companies. If you were to go yourself, it would cost a lot more.
- Lots and lots of other companies will be there, usually through sponsorships as well, maybe even your competitors! Get your company out there and known.
- You’re busy! Why not send someone else to do the legwork for you?
I am offering you my services, so let’s work together! I want to make this a great success for your company and help get the word out for you. Please feel free to contact me if you have ANY questions whatsoever. I would be happy to answer them for you!
Can’t afford the full $200, but still want to get your name out there? Contact me! I am all about helping those who are just starting up, or are small businesses.

br />I know that at this conference I can help create wonderful relationships for you and this can benefit your company tremendously! I’m reaching out to you, will you accept my help to work together?
I look forward to talking with you, and thank you very much!
