Internet Explorer and Blogs Don’t Mix!

I used to use Internet Explorer as my browser all the time. Then last year I noticed that it would take FOREVER for blogs to load. Other sites would load just fine, it was just blogs that took forever. I decided to try out Mozilla Firefox instead, and the same pages would load in seconds.
Considering I visit more blogs than I do websites, I stuck with Firefox. I can use my Alexa toolbar with firefox just fine, even though I’ve heard that a lot of people using IE couldn’t get Alexa to work.
The past few days a lot of people have been getting error messages when trying to visit blogs in IE. They get a message saying “Internet Explorer cannot open the Internet Site http://blognamehere.com Operation Aborted.”
Well, that’s not good!
I’ve heard a lot of people on twitter and blog forums freaking out because they think it’s something with their site. Nope, it’s not. It’s with your browser. Just use something different than IE and you will be just fine.
You’d think that with as many blogs out there, Internet Explorer would actually work. Until they get their act together however, and fix these errors, I won’t be using them anytime soon.
As a side note, my site looks different in IE than it does in Firefox. It is correct in Firefox, but all messed up in IE. So if you are using IE, I encourage you to visit it in Firefox and see the difference.
I’m just glad there are other options out there for us blog hoppers to use! What browser do you use? Have you switched recently?

I use both IE and Firefox depending on which look I like. I did notice the difference too but sometimes I like the shifted look on some sites. It sparks some creativity in me. But, on the days when I don’t have a lot of time, Firefox is definitely the winner!

I was tired of IE so I just switched to the new Google Chrome. I love it.

I use IE and Firefox depending on what errors I get. LOL. I know that is not good but that is how I determine what browser to use.

Yep, it’s pretty annoying. A lot of people still use IE and always email me with those issues. I never notice because I am always working in FireFox.

i use to love IE but i noticed about 6 months ago that it was so slow! I thought it was my computer and so I did everything I could to try and figure out what was going on . When I realized that it was nothing to do with my comuter and it was IE itself! So I went and switched over to firefox and I love it! I love that they have so many litle ad ons and that it loads fast !
