Kinesys Sunscreen

With the weather being so nice recently, we’ve been spending a lot of time outside.  With my daughter and I both being redheads, I always try to protect us the best I can when we go outside.  I am especially careful with my daughter because not only is she a redhead, but my husband has a mutated gene that is genetic that makes him more prone to melanoma.  We have not had our daughter tested yet, but she most likely has this gene as well.  That means I am super careful with her and always have been.

Since we do go outside a lot, I am always looking for good sunscreens.  I usually prefer to use a sunblock that has zinc oxide and titanium dioxide in it.  However, when you have an impatient toddler, rubbing a cream on them is not always an option, especially one that takes a little longer to rub in.  Recently Kinesys sent me a bottle of their kid’s spray-on sunscreen and one of their Spf 30 Girl sunscreen.  Both of these are spray-ons, which are awesome to use with a toddler.  I can simply spray it on and be done.  I love the fact that they are broad spectrum sunscreens, which means they protect against the UVB rays (burning rays) AND the UVA rays (aging rays).

Both of these products are oil free, which is awesome.  I hate using sunscreens that feel super oily.  It did feel a little oily when I first put it on, which kind of concerned me, but as soon as it dried, I couldn’t even tell I was wearing anything.  They are both alcohol-free and water and sweat resistant.

The Kid’s sunscreen is frangrance-free which is nice for anyone who is allergic, such as my neighbor.  For those who are not allergic, the Girl sunscreen has a nice vanilla-green tea scent.  Neither of them smell like sunscreen, which is always a plus for me.
