We are big garage sale people in my family.  I get a call most weekends and when I see it’s my parents, I know it’s going to be my mom saying, “I’m at a garage sale, and they have (fill in the blank) do you want it?”

I haven’t been to a garage sale in a while though, just because I never know when or where they are.  In our area you can’t put up signs, so you really just have to drive around hoping to find one.  I hate wasting gas though, so I rarely go looking for them.

I was recently introduced to a site, however, that allows people to list their garage sales and yard sales and makes it easier for people like me to search for them.  Right now they are offering free listings, and it’s always free to browse and see what is in your area.  You can also search for sales that have specific items you are looking for.  It helps you eliminate those sales that you know you will be disappointed at.   I think it’s a great idea and you can bet I’ll be browsing to find sales near me.
