Blisters….and Shopping!

This past weekend I decided to hit the mall looking for some cute yet comfortable shoes for BlogHer and maybe some more outfits perfect for all the events going on.

Let’s just say I wore the wrong shoes to be out all day.  And I mean all day!  I got blisters on my heels by the end of the day and my feet hurt so bad I looked enviously at everyone wearing flip flops.  I even bought a cute pair of Sketcher sneakers and those just made it worse because they hit me at the exact same spot my other shoes did and just rubbed even worse.  I drove home barefoot.

I did find a few cute things, however, including this little black dress.



I have so many black clothes, however, that now I am looking for something NOT black.  I pretty much gave up on making the perfect dress because I can’t find a pattern I really like.  I’m not talented enough to make one up, so it’s back to the stores. I swear I searched that whole mall and cannot find anything that wasn’t too low cut or too short, or too expensive! I went to Macy’s, JCPenney, Dillard’s, Forever 21, Deb, and even more little stores I can’t even remember them all. I even stopped by Ross, although I didn’t browse through everything there.

I was feeling a little guilty about all the money I spent (not much, but still) and then I got an email from Brent from MckLinky letting me know I was the weekly winner of the Blog hop.  I won $100!  Nice, huh?  They give away prizes every week, so if you want a chance to win, be sure to participate in the weekly blog hops.
