A little while ago I wrote a post about how I was disappointed in Singer because my motor went bad on my Singer Confidence 7470 Sewing machine after only having it for one year. Well, after that post, I was contacted by Kate who works for Singer and she offered to have Singer fix the machine [...]

I know I kind of up and disappeared for a while, but don’t worry, nothing serious has happened, I’m not going through hard times, things are all ok here. Well, I guess something serious has happened, and I have been going through hard times, but nothing that won’t be solved by July 25th.   Let [...]

Tragic Loss

I haven’t been online much lately as I am trying to do a mad dash to get ready for Christmas.  So this morning when I signed into a mom blogging community I was shocked to learned that a fellow member, Shellie from Blog 4 Mom, had lost her 2 year old son when he fell [...]

Last night we tried to have my daughter sleep on a twin mattress on the floor instead of her crib.  We got her new sheets and everything.

Well, we put her down and she played for a little while, which we expected, but when I went up later I realized thebaby light was on.  She is tall enough that she can reach the light switch and she had it on.  I turned it off and ran to the bathroom, and when I could hear her immediately get up and go turn it on again.  So I went in with some tape and taped it down.  She wasn’t too happy about that.

She was found the cd player and was playing around with the volume too.

She did pretty good for a while, and then she found she couldn’t open her door.  That is when the crying began.  She fussed and cried and yelled for “Mommy!” or “Daddy!” for a long time.  I think she eventually fell alseep by the door, but then she would wake up about 10-20 minutes later and start crying again.  I tried going in and laying down with her, but that only made her want to play.  She woke up again at about midnight and I went in and got her to climb in bed and gave her some milk and she was finally out.

Nap time today went a little bit better.  I put her down and as soon as I closed the door she was up.  She cried for about 30 minutes because she couldn’t open the door, but all is quiet now.

I’m hoping bed time goes as smoothly or better.  We figured the first night would be rough and then as the novelty of being able to get up out of bed would wear off,  it would get better.  I’ll keep you updated on our progress!
