Cutest Homemade Shoes Ever

Cutest Homemade Shoes Ever

Posted on 06. Oct, 2009 by Trish in Tutorial

The other day I was browsing around looking for slipper patterns for my 2 year old.  I have some leftover sherpa suede material and some of that bumpy material that is usually on the bottom of footie pajamas, so I figured might as well make her up a pair.  I am a total slipper girl, and figured that since it is getting cold, slippers might be easier to find than socks.

Well, while I was browsing I came across this tutorial guide all about how to create your own ballet shoes.  You can custom make them to fit any size, from babies up to adults.  I have seen shoes like this in boutiques selling for a ridiculous amount.  Now, I can make my own!  I thought they were so adorable, I had to share with you guys as well.

I just wish I had know this earlier when my daughter was  little because she had super narrow feet.  All the baby shoes out there that I could find were for fat feet.  My mother-in-law finally found a pair of white ones that were narrow (all cloth) that we wore forever.  I know shoes aren’t necessary for babies, but they are super cute, especially when paired with a cute dress and frilly socks.  I usually had a matching bow and bracelet as well.

Yes, I am a total girly girl and I enjoyed dressing my daughter up.  I admit it.

I’m not so sure how well these would work with older kids, simply because the soles are just cloth.  They would have to be for indoor use only.  But still, adorable!
