I’d Loose My Head if It Wasn’t Attached

I’d Loose My Head if It Wasn’t Attached

Posted on 15. Oct, 2009 by Trish in Trisha

Remember my post about the lost keys?  Unfortunately that is not an uncommon occurrence.

man-scratching-headI am ALWAYS loosing stuff and it’s driving me bonkers!  Things that I just had two days ago, and now they are no where to be found.  I swear there is a little sprite that likes to come in and hide things from me.

That’s it.  He comes in at night and hides things just so he can laugh at me during the day when I search and search for them.  It has to be, because I swear I’m not this scatterbrained.

I need a name for this sprite.

Hiding Harry?

Disappearing Duke?

What do you think?

I have this same problem. I think it got much worse after I had the boys! It is because our brains go 12 million miles a minute

Hehe you are so not alone- and the funny thing is we can all look and nope, nowhere in site, we’ll all go do our stuff come back and poof it is in plain sight. None of us have found it and put it there, though. We call him our Poltergeist Fred. Mostly nice but when we let someone live with us and were talking about letting her stay longer dishes started flying out of the cupboard at my head so he has moods. :P When the girls have sleepovers if he likes the guest he hides their shoes (and we have one area where everyone who comes in puts them so it is not senility or forgetting.) Maybe you are living with a prankster as well.

Glad to know I am not “Alone”! hahaha

I frequently blame it on my ‘Brain Fartitis’ but maybe you are right!

Not Me shows up a lot on the toon strip ‘My family circle’ hahaha, they have another one too…

I ahve the same problem, we call it the clepto in our house! My Little Diva is a hording cleptomaniac!!! she takes things and hides them in her toy boxes, under the couch, in the kitchen cabinets! She even has been known to take toys from a friends house after we visit on playdates, i am constantly saying sorry to my other mommy friends and returning toys to their owners. Its embarressing sometimes!

Hehe. If mine did that though, I’d have someone to blame it on. Mine doesn’t really even touch things that aren’t her toys, so it’s not her! And there is no way, nuh uh, that I am that scatterbrained to misplace EVERYTHING. :D

we always call him Not Me at our house.

    “Did someone move my book?”
    “Not me”

“Alright, who took my pencil? I just had it right here.”
    “Not me”

Not Me does a lot of sneaky things around our here.
