A little while ago I wrote a post about how I was disappointed in Singer because my motor went bad on my Singer Confidence 7470 Sewing machine after only having it for one year. Well, after that post, I was contacted by Kate who works for Singer and she offered to have Singer fix the machine [...]

I’m Still Alive

I know I kind of up and disappeared for a while, but don’t worry, nothing serious has happened, I’m not going through hard times, things are all ok here. Well, I guess something serious has happened, and I have been going through hard times, but nothing that won’t be solved by July 25th.   Let [...]

Tragic Loss

I haven’t been online much lately as I am trying to do a mad dash to get ready for Christmas.  So this morning when I signed into a mom blogging community I was shocked to learned that a fellow member, Shellie from Blog 4 Mom, had lost her 2 year old son when he fell [...]

I Finally Bought a Pair of Sweats

Posted on Nov 18 in Family Lifeby TrishPrintText Resizer Text Resizer

I have not owned a pair of sweatpants since jr high when it was required for PE class.  I hated the elastic at the bottom, so I have avoided them ever since.

sweatsThe other day I was at Target, however, and saw they had Hanes sweats for under $7 and randomly looked at pair of pants.  They didn’t have the elastic anymore!  Yeah, I have no idea how long they have made them like this, but I was excited to find this wonderful piece of information.  I promptly bought two pairs so now I don’t have to wear my jeans all the time.

I do have a pair of black pants that are a stretchy black material that I bought my freshman year of college, oh about, 8 years ago that I would wear on the days I wanted to be comfy.  Those however have bleach stains on them that I have colored in with a Sharpee marker so they aren’t noticeable, and some areas are starting to wear extremely thin, like the inseam area.  I probably should have gotten rid of those a long time ago, but I didn’t have any other comfy pants to wear!

This might be a bad thing that I discovered this.  I might never wear anything else again!  :D

I’m not a fan of the elastic on the leg bottoms of sweats either. My love is Old Navy’s yoga pants. There’s a little bit of spandex in them to help hold the “mommy pooch” in at the top a little too.

  • I know just what you mean… I HATE the elastic on the bottom, I too have long legs and look like they are just too short. I don’t like sweats because they get too warm here in Florida (sorry, not trying to brag :-) REALLY!), but I LOVE my yoga pants, and YES, I have worn them outside of the house. But you can find some really nice ones, but they cost a little extra.
ENJOY your new pants…. and be comfy!!

  • I am the same way! I have a pair of sweatpants with sort of a bootcut leg and they are getting pretty raggedy lookin’, but I am not going to throw them out! Not yet anyway!~

  • I don’t wear sweatpants in public but I do own a couple of pairs from when DH was in the Navy. They are almost worn all the way through in places but I LOVE them!

My new love are my pair of lounge/yoga pants. There are just those days where jeans just feel too constricting. I love Old Navy because they make them long for those who are tall and long legged like me. Everything else makes me look like I am “flodding”

I know exactly what you mean! I am of the long legged variety as well, and I hate the flood look. I’ll have to check these out.

I need to find me some now that it is starting to get cold

LOL Your so cute! I love the elastic in the bottom so I can stretch it over my feet. I love sweats! They are just so comfy!
