Chatterbox

Although my daughter is only two and a half she is such a chatter box.  It cracks me up sometimes to hear her.

She often asks to watch a wobie and when I ask her which one it always varies.  Lately it’s been “Hi Ho” (Snow White) or “Cilalella” (Cinderella) or “Kitty” (The Garfield Movie).  She’s also been a huge fan of Cars lately, and likes to point out the “Pretty music!”  In fact, the other day we were driving in the car and had some classical music on and she kept saying, “Pretty noise!”  Her absolute favorite in the morning, however, is “To-tek-er” (Wee Sing Together) where she sings along with all the songs, and sometimes even says the lines along with it.  Now she has taken to singing “I wub you!”  It’s very cute when she says it to my husband as he’s leaving for work.  “I wub you daddy!”

She also loves to point out that “Daddy at work.  Go bye bye in red car.”  It’s not like we have any other car, but she likes to point out that he left in the red car.

Her latest that cracks us up is the “sparklies.”  It took us a few moments to figure it out, but that’s what she calls Christmas lights.  Every morning when she gets up she has to turn on “sparklies” and loves to look for more out the window.  If we are driving anywhere she keeps asking for “More sparklies! More sparklies!” and then she gets really excited when she sees some.

One thing she has been doing forever is asking for something over and over, like milk, and then we ask her, “You want some milk?”  Her response?  “Okay.”  Like we had suggested it in the first place.  What is even funnier is now our neighbor boy has started doing it too.  He either says “okay” or “alright.”

I have to say I am loving this age and seeing her personality come out.  I love when she asks for my hand when we walk down the stairs, or asks for a hug or a kiss.  Yes, she still tries my patience with her stubbornness, but it’s not so bad.

I remember that time when their little personality started comig out, all of it, the good, the bad and the ugly! It only gets better from here. Enjoy every stage… each one has its wonderful points – then they become TEENAGERS!!!! Just kidding.
