Singer Has Redeemed Themselves

Posted on 17. Feb, 2010 by Trish in Blogging

A little while ago I wrote a post about how I was disappointed in Singer because my motor went bad on my Singer Confidence 7470 Sewing machine after only having it for one year.

Well, after that post, I was contacted by Kate who works for Singer and she offered to have Singer fix the machine at no cost.  I took her up on that offer because I really did not want to have to go buy a new machine.  After several months of me being lazy and not getting the machine sent to them, I finally got it shipped off.  I am very happy to say that within a couple of days Kate contacted me to say it had all been fixed and they were shipping it back to me.

It came at just the right time, because now my old White brand machine I’ve been using decided it wanted to have some problems, right in the middle of making a gift for a baby shower the next day.  I had just received my Singer back, so I hurried and pulled it out and finished the project.  It is sewing beautifully, and I have already completed 2 other projects with it.

I have to say that I was very impressed that not only did someone from Singer company read my post, they took the time to contact me and offer to make it right.  That one little act alone has restored my confidence in their company.  Singer, I applaud you for reading what people say about you and doing what you can to make sure everyone has a good experience.

I’m so glad you got your machine fixed to your satisfaction and really glad to hear that Singer is a company that stands behind their product and tries to make their consumers happy.
Way to go Singer and way to go Trisha for letting us know about it!
