Happy New Year!

I hope everyone had a great Christmas and I wanted to wish you a happy new year!
I am still enjoying myself with family in California, and my kids are getting spoiled by their grandparents and aunt and uncles. Of course they are loving every minute of it.
I have been crafting away and made several Christmas gifts. For my younger brothers (one in college and one a senior in high school) I made footie pajama pants. Tee-hee.
That was fun developing the pattern and finding the right fit. Before that, my time had been devoted to making dolls for my daughter and my soon to be niece. That project was a lot of fun, but definitely time consuming and lots of firsts for me. I had never done anything like that, but I think they turned out pretty good. I don’t have a picture of my daughter’s yet, but here is the one I made for my niece. I wasn’t there, but she was apparently very excited that the doll looked just like her. Now I need to make more clothes and matching ones for the dolls and the kids.
The past few days I’ve been crocheting quite a bit. I’ve been making quite a few hats and beanies, and I have to admit that I have never crocheted a hat before. I usually use a hat loom, but I decided since I know how to crochet I should just find a pattern and do it. I made a cute little brimmed hat for my son, a multi-colored striped one that was supposed to be for my daughter, but it turned out too big, so it went to my brother instead. So now I’m working on a new multi-colored striped one with ear flaps for my dd. I just need to add the ear flaps.
Well, that’s what I’ve been up to this past month, and I’ll show more pictures as I take them and actually get them uploaded. Once again I hope everyone had a great Christmas and that you have a great new year!

That doll is adorable! I cannot believe that you made footie PJ’s for your brothers! Too funny.
What part of California are you in? I’m in SoCal.
