Halloween 2011
Posted on 07. Nov, 2011 by Trish.
This year I didn’t go all out on the Halloween costumes for my kids. My daughter wanted to be Ariel, and I had a neighbor who had made a mermaid costume for her daughter in the past and offered to let us borrow it. I figured then I wouldn’t have to try to figure out [...]

Babywearing

Remember my post way back when on Walking Wings? My daughter recently found them, put them on, brought me her doll and asked me to put her in so she can carry her. I have many different carriers that I use with my son, and it just made me smile to see her copying me. [...]

Redheads Anyone?
Posted on 26. Sep, 2011 by Trish.
This is my daughter (the one in the middle with the curly hair) with her redheaded girl cousins. There are even more redheads in the family (several nephews as well) that aren’t pictured here.
I have to laugh because I fit in more looks-wise with my husband’s family than I do in mine. On my side [...]

I remember going camping with my family when I was younger and really enjoying it. When a group of people from our church had a camp-out last weekend, we decided it would be fun to go. My daughter was sooooo excited to get to sleep in a tent and would not stop talking about it. [...]

Posted on 12. Aug, 2011 by Trish.
My son recently turned one, so I had to make him an awesome cake too. Since he’s not really into anything yet I decided to just go with some fun designs and call it good. I once again, used marshmallow fondant, and I tried a new cake pan my mom gave me that was supposed [...]

Posted on 28. Jun, 2011 by Trish.
Babies reach a certain age where they just want to be on the move. They roll or crawl or squirm and make diaper changes practically impossible.

I know he’s not very squirmy in the video, but I promise it does work!

Nikon D40

I finally bought a DSLR camera! I am so excited. I’ve wanted one for a while, and even had the chance to review a D3000 a while back, but I had to return it. Then life happened, and I had a kid and I never really had the money for one.
Then I saw that my [...]

Pictures by a Four Year Old
Posted on 28. Mar, 2011 by Trish.
My daughter loves to take pictures. If I’d let her she’d steal my camera and take pictures of everything. Quite often when I download all our picture onto the computer I find a few random shots that she’s taken.
Here’s some from a couple of weeks ago.
According to her, “Ooh, I have to take a picture [...]

Cloth Tissues
Posted on 27. Jan, 2011 by Trish.
I know we’ve all heard of handkerchiefs, but no one really uses them anymore. There’s a few out there who do, but most people I know just think “ew, gross!” I did too, up till a couple of nights ago.
My daughter had a bad cold, which she has since passed on to me and her [...]
